The program offers a safe and effective exercise regime personalized for the needs of pregnancy or postpartum. In addition, we have taken all of the obstacles a new mom faces out of the equation. Our private studio setting enables you to keep your little bundle-of-joy right with you while you workout.* No more waiting for three to six months before you can check your baby into child care at a commercial fitness center. She has been teaching yoga for 7 years specializing in prenatal yoga, postpartum yoga, hatha yoga and natural childbirth education. She also teaches hatha yoga to all levels of beginners and yoga for special needs. Rhonda has over 11 years of nursing experience and is a nationally certified Holistic Nurse through the American Holistic Nursing Association. She applies her knowledge of alternative health and wellness with her yoga experience and teaching methods to create an innovative pregnancy yoga program. She is currently completing Labor Assistant Doula and Bradley(R) Natural Childbirth education certifications. Once a month she teaches a couples workshop class on Labor Support, Comfort for Labor and Natural Childbirth Positions. The Neonatology Section, in conjunction with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, operates the University of Chicago Hospitals Perinatal Center. The center provides comprehensive neonatal and obstetrical diagnostic and treatment facilities in affiliation with community hospitals comprising the Perinatal Network. All diagnostic and therapeutic modalities and consultations from all surgical and pediatric subspecialties are available.

Helicopter transports are available for critically ill neonates within a 200-mile radius of Chicago through the University of Chicago Hospitals Aeromedical Network (UCAN). Ground transportation can also be arranged.

Educational programs are provided by the Perinatal Center throughout the community for physicians, nurses, and other health care personnel. Major research programs conducted by the Neonatology Section include neonatal nutrition and breast feeding, neonatal jaundice, infectious diease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, newborn and infant development, and the causes of prematurity and fetal growth retardation.
